Built environment to indoor light: How do building design, glazing technologies, urbanization, and climate change affect indoor light and visual conditions? 2. Indoor light to occupant health: How does light exposure affect circadian rhythms, sleep, cognitive health (including dementia), comfort, and well-being? 3. Energy and daylighting: How can daylighting strategies reduce energy consumption while maintaining occupant comfort? Current priority: the relationship between light exposure, circadian disruption, and dementia/cognitive decline. ## Facility The Daylighting Innovation and Analysis Lab (DIAL) is a first-of-its-kind mobile daylighting research facility at Oregon State University.
